Dialysis is a life-sustaining treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) that cannot be cured by medical or surgical interventions. In Malaysia, the number of ESRD patients has been steadily increasing, with an estimated prevalence of 1,144 per million population in 2018. This translates to approximately 36,000 ESRD patients in the country, with a majority of them requiring regular dialysis treatment. Infinity Health Group will entering this field by acquiring share in Pusat Dialysis Nur Kasih.
